Angela Ribuffo joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in March 2008, bringing over 15 years of financial services industry experience to the position.
Previously, she served as a contractor, designing and administering programs to support the financial needs of civilians throughout the Defense Logistics Agency. She also worked as a Department of Defense civilian as a relocation manager and an adjunct faculty member at the City College of Chicago and Antelope Valley College.
Angela received her commission as an Air Force ROTC distinguished graduate. She served five years as a flight nurse in the United States Air Force Nurse Corp., where she attained the rank of captain.
A graduate of San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Angela holds Series 6, 63 and 65 securities licenses plus state life and health insurance licenses. Angela started her formal financial education with The American College in 2012 which allowed her to obtain her designations in the following: Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Financial Consultant, and Retired Income Certified Professional. She also holds a designation as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst.
Understanding that the single most powerful contributor to financial well-being is behavior, Angela works closely with her clients to develop personalized financial plans that reflect their values, address their priorities and support their goals. Each plan includes recommendations for specific financial products and services to support those goals. And through ongoing planning to address changes in one’s financial and personal circumstances, Angela is ready to assist clients as they pursue their goals through a lifetime financial journey. Angela specializes in helping women prepare thoughtfully for their well-being as well as that of their loved ones.
Angela is the current National Secretary for Women in Insurance and Financial Services (WIFS). As such she is dedicated to attracting, developing and advancing women in the financial services industry. She is a strong proponent of education and mentoring as a tool to help women take their business to the next level. Angela is a WIFS ANGEL award recipient as well as a multi-year WIFS Circle of Excellence recipient.
Angela is a member of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, Financial Planning Association, Financial Services Institute, and National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
She is married to husband, Steve for 35 years and is the proud parent of two sons, and lucky grandparent to three grandchildren. She enjoys quilting, reading and spending time with her family and new golden retriever puppy, Abby.
