Shawn Britt has been a member of Nationwide’s Advanced Sales Team since 2005 and has been engaged in the life insurance industry for over 17 years.
Known at Nationwide for her extensive work and expertise with the Long- term Care Rider and the LTC hybrid solution marketplace, Shawn has been a major influence in promoting the need for long-term care and development of LTC solutions. In addition to white papers, and marketing materials written for Nationwide, she has been widely published on the subject of LTC care in publications such as The National Underwriter, Advisor Today, Life Insurance Selling and Agents Journal. Shawn is also a source quoted on the subject of LTC by national media such as The Wall Street Journal, Market Watch Radio, Financial Advisor Magazine, and Boomer Market Advisor.
The Wealth Channel has featured Shawn on a piece titled “Strategies to Afford LTC Protection,” where she discussed strategies to help seniors afford long-term care coverage.
Along with the Long Term Care Rider, Shawn currently supports advanced life insurance initiatives in the areas of case consultation and design, product development, and sales ideas for marketing and software applications.
Shawn graduated with a BA from Bowling Green State University and currently serves as an adjunct professor at The Ohio State University lecturing on long term care in risk management studies. She is Ohio life and health licensed, holds the FINRA Series 6 license, and has earned her CLU® designation.
