Rodger K. Johnson

Rodger Johnson is a native East Texan currently residing in Bullard. He entered the Financial Services Industry in 1978 and earned a Masters of Science in Financial Services from The American College. An avid believer in continuing education, Rodger holds designations as a Chartered Financial Consultant®, Chartered Life Underwriter®, a Certified Financial Planner® practitioner, and a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® and has his Masters of Science in Financial Services (MSFS).
Rodger has been a top producer for New York Life for the majority of his career and has consistently ranked among the top 50 producers in the company. In 2011, Rodger was recognized as New York Life’s Council President, an honor given to the number one agent in the company. Rodger gives much of his professional credit to the education he received at The American College so it was only natural that he look for ways to give back to the organization. Rodger worked closely with Phil Cubeta in 2011 to facilitate the Dallas study group for the initial CAP® class. He believed in the program so much that he returned in 2012 to facilitate a new class in Dallas as well as start one in Tyler. By the end of 2012 he will have assisted approximately 75 professionals including non-profits, attorneys, stock brokers, and insurance professionals in earning their CAP® designation. Rodger is making a difference in the professional and Philanthropic communities in both Dallas and Tyler.
A nationally recognized speaker, Rodger was featured on the cover of Life Insurance Selling in March 2012 as well as Advisor Today. He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisers, the Association of Advanced Life Underwriters, as well as a life member of MDRT. MDRT is recognized throughout the industry as the standard of excellence in life insurance sales performance.
Rodger serves as a volunteer pilot for Angel Flight of America, on the New York Life's Advisory Board of Directors, as well as the Advisory Council for Grace Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas, to name a few. Rodger believes, "To whom Much is Given, Much is Expected".
