MSFS, MBA, CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®
Sterling Raskie, MSFS, MBA, CFP®, ChFC®, CLU® is a Fee-Only Financial Planner & Investment Advisor at Blankenship Financial Planning (BFP). He has over 10 years of experience in financial planning, investments, and insurance. As a financial planner, a main tenet of Sterling’s philosophy is that the client experience should be client focused and driven, not product driven.
Prior to joining Blankenship Financial, Sterling worked for a major financial services firm, and also ran his own company in Wisconsin – his home state. When not wearing his financial planning hat, Sterling is also an Adjunct Professor at The American College where he teaches financial planning and insurance education. He also teaches CFP® exam review classes across the country. Sterling is a strong proponent of education – for both industry professionals and his clients.
In his spare time, Sterling enjoys writing for BFP’s blog, AdviceIQ, Business Insider, and The Wealth Channel Magazine, as well as spending time with his family, fly-fishing, gardening, beekeeping and drumming.
His book, Lose Weight, Save Money: An Owner’s Manual to Physical and Financial Fitness will be released in August.
Sterling holds a BA from The University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire; MSFS, CFP®, ChFC®, CLU® designations from The American College; and an MBA from Benedictine University.
For his dedication to the industry, education, and his community, The American College is proud to honor Sterling Raskie, MSFS, MBA, CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®, as the Alumnus of the Month for July 2013.
