Keith Gillies is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Consultant, (ChFC®) focusing on financial consulting. He is an honor graduate of Tulane University (MBA) and of the University of New Orleans (BA). Keith is past-president of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) of Greater New Orleans (Advisor of the Year, 1998) and of NAIFA-Louisiana (recipient of the 2003 President’s Award and the 2007 Arthur Abramson Member of the Year Award). He is a past NAIFA-National Trustee and is a candidate for NAIFA-National Secretary. Keith is a leading representative of the Ameritas group of companies, where he served as a member and chair of the prestigious Ameritas Field Advisory Cabinet. He is a member of the Top of the Table of the Million Dollar Round Table.
Keith is very active in his community, serving and volunteering on many civic and religious boards, including service on the St. John the Baptist Parish Planning and Zoning Commission from 1989 – 2008. He chaired this commission for sixteen years. For seven years, Keith has served on the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church Pastoral Finance Committee, the last four years as its Chair. Keith served as the head basketball coach at St. Joan of Arc for the sixteen years. He also chaired the St. John the Baptist Parish (County) President's Strategic Planning Committee for Finance in 2010, reporting directly to President Natalie Robottom. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Keith chaired the Agent/Advisor Hurricane Relief Fund, closing the fund in 2006.
