Rick Levitz is President of Wealth Management at GCG Financial, Inc. He is responsible for the services provided to GCG’s insurance, investment, and financial planning clients. His specific areas of expertise include life insurance, estate planning, business succession, and executive compensation strategies. Rick is also a member of the GCG Planning Resource Center, a team of specialists who develop and design advanced planning concepts for high net worth individuals and closely held businesses.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a finance major from the University of Denver in 1985, Rick went on to graduate from the University of Illinois College of Law, Magna Cum Laude, in 1988. Following law school, Rick spent four years at Kirkland & and Ellis LLP as a corporate attorney, working on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital transactions and public company work. In 1992, Rick moved to GCG Financial. He since earned his CLU®, ChFC® and CFP® designations, and completed his series 6, 7, 24, 63 and 65 registrations. He is also a Registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative of Securian Financial Services, Inc.
Rick currently serves on the advisory board for the Cary M. Maguire Center for Ethics in Financial Services at The American College of Financial Services. He is also a member of the Society of Financial Services Professionals, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), the Financial Planning Association, and the Association for Advanced Life Underwriters (AALU).
Rick is also active in numerous charities and nonprofit organizations, including one that he helped start, College Bound (today, known as Chicago Scholars). The organization helps provide scholarship opportunities to underserved students. Rick also plays a major role in GCG’s community giving, which donates services to a different charity each month selected by GCG’s advisors and staff.
Rick lives in Highland Park, Ill., with his wife and three children.
