Joey Davenport is president of the Hoopis Performance Network (HPN) in Chicago, which provides tools and resources for the entire life cycle of a financial professional’s career. He has over twenty years of experience in the financial services industry as an advisor, manager, entrepreneur and international speaker.

Joey began his career as a personal producer with Northwestern Mutual in 1995 in Nashville, Tenn. While there, he was recognized as one of the top college unit and field directors in the U.S. He spent two years in the home office in a rotational position as a field development consultant before joining the Hoopis Financial Group in Chicago in 2004. He spent the next eight years of his Northwestern Mutual career working closely with GAMA Hall of Fame member, Harry Hoopis, in recruiting, training, coaching, and leadership development.

Joey and his team's web-based training programs have received top recognition in learning and development, including multiple Digital Media Innovator awards, and they were named one of the ROI Institute's Top 10 Case Studies of the Year. Joey is also executive producer of the Northwestern Mutual Enduring Relationships program and the Hoopis University, and is one of the principal authors and co-producers of the advanced sales training program, Factfinding DNA. A certified trainer and master coach, Joey co-authored the best-selling book, "The Power of Coaching: Engaging Excellence in Others."​ He is the executive producer of the award-winning Trustworthy Selling sales effectiveness program developed with LIMRA International, and HPN’s recently launched Advanced Planning Channel.

As HPN president, Joey leads all sales and marketing, enterprise client relationships, solutions and team development for the organization, and is the executive producer for all of HPN’s content and programming. He facilitates live sales training and leadership development workshops throughout the financial services industry, and he serves as a speaker, coach and consultant to HPN clients throughout the world. He also interviews top producers and experts in the industry as host of an online television program known as Field Tested.

Joey is a past president of NAIFA Chicago and graduate of NAIFA's Leadership in Life Institute. He is an international main platform speaker, and his work has been featured in numerous industry publications. Under Joey's leadership, NAIFA Chicago received the prestigious Jack E. Bobo Award for Association Excellence for the first time in over a decade. During his tenure, NAIFA Chicago also surpassed its national membership goals and objectives.

Joey earned a bachelor's degree with a double major in marketing and journalism and minor in psychology at Middle Tennessee State University. He also holds the CLTC® designation and earned the CLU® and CLF® designations from The American College of Financial Services.
